Summery DIY pedicure

Your feet could use some extra attention, but you can't fit in a pedicure appointment at the salon at the moment? No problemo! With our tips, you'll have your feet ready for summer. By the way, you don't have to worry about chipping nail polish, because with our new Nail Wraps for pedicure, the color on your toenails will last up to 14 days. Hooray!

Let's get started with the DIY pedicure. However, we don't want to bore you with a classic tutorial, but rather with a refreshing portion of inspiration for summery feel-good vibes—and beautiful feet. After all, most of you probably know how to do a pedicure: soak and scrub your feet, push back cuticles, clean, and shape your nails, remove calluses and degrease your natural nails. Easy-peasy, summer breezy!

Refreshing & natural DIY foot soak

The foot soak not only softens the cornea and cuticles and prepares your feet perfectly for the following pedicure. It also has a wonderfully relaxing effect and can help to revive heavy legs and tired feet. Here's our recipe for an energizing foot soak:

  • fill the bowl with lukewarm water
  • add some almond oil, alternatively you can also use olive oil
  • pluck sage, peppermint, and lemon balm and chop the leaves

Cooling herbs to refresh body and mind

Our feel-good tip: With the herbs you use for the foot bath, you can also brew yourself a refreshing tea to enjoy during the foot soak. Yummy! Now dip your feet into the water for about 10 to 15 minutes and relax. Why not just put your smartphone aside and ask your loved ones to allow yourself a few minutes of me-time? How about a mini imaginary journey to your happy place or listening to a guided meditation while you enjoy the refreshing soak?

If you're into aromatherapy, you can also rub a few drops of essential oil into your palms and consciously notice the scent. Choose lemon for an energizing and clarifying effect, lavender to increase calmness. These short moments of tranquillity will restore your energy and calm your nervous system.

Foot scrub for soft skin

Exfoliate your feet afterwards if you fancy extra soft skin. You can also use our luxurious Hand Scrub to care for your feet. Alternatively, you can create your own DIY foot scrub.

Recipe for a natural DIY foot scrub:

  • Some almond or coconut oil
  • raw cane sugar
  • some lemon juice

Mix everything together and gently apply in a circular motion to damp skin. In places with more calluses, feel free to exfoliate a little more intensely. Rinse off, gently pat the skin dry and carefully push back the cuticles with a wooden stick. Shorten, shape and clean the nails and then clean the natural nail with our Nail Wrap Remover.

Nail Wraps for the toes

Apply the new Nail Wraps for pedicure in exactly the same way as our Nail Wraps for the fingernails. We recommend applying our Base Coat first, as it evens out unevenness on the toenails and ensures that the Nail Wraps adhere better. Then choose the proper size, cut into shape, stick on, file off the edge and fix the Wrap with one of our Top Coats (matte or glossy). Next, apply some cream to the feet and your feet are ready for the summer. Enjoy!
